In March 2008 I visited Lavinia, a wine store in Paris supposedly on the site of the Judgement of Paris in 1976. I brought in a bottle of our 2005 Cabernet Sauvignon and asked the staff (in French) if they would like to taste an American Cabernet. The response was: "No merci Madame." !!!!!
