On Saturday, November 14 the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society will host the annual Taste of the World Wine and Beer Festival at the Newport Aquarium.  This is a “must attend” event for wine or beer lovers and foodies alike as the event boasts an amazing array of international wine, beer, spirits and fine cuisine from top local restaurants.  The best part is being able to enjoy all of this while touring the world-class Newport Aquarium…after hours!

Every four minutes someone is diagnosed with a blood cancer, and every ten minutes someone loses the fight.  Fortunately the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society is working hard everyday to change this.  In 2008 The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society…

• provided more than $100 million of aid and services to patients and their families.
• funded more than $69.1 million in blood cancer research.
• supported 388 researches, including projects at the Cleveland Clinic, The Ohio State University and Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center.

Often dubbed “Fish and Sips”, the Taste of the World Event is one of the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society’s biggest annual fund-raising events, offering a unique atmosphere to sample some of the area’s best food and drink while exploring the world’s underwater creatures and environments.
